HOW IT WORKS:
RecycleBank is a loyalty and rewards program that motivates households to recycle, and is offered exclusively to our customers in Union County and surrounding areas.
Every household will receive a 18 gallon recycling bin (if they do not already have one) equipped with an RFID (radio frequency identification) tag. This RFID tag has a unique number and will associate your cart to your address. Simply place all of your recyclables (no more sorting) in your new cart. We do offer a larger 65 gallon roll out cart for all homes - it is not required to purchase it but it is available at a cost of $50.
Residents earn a certain amount of points depending on the amount of materials they recycle. The recycling habits of the participating residents are tracked through a RecycleBank scanner which is retrofitted to the collection trucks. The system converts weight into reward points which is transmitted your personal RecycleBank.com account.
REWARDS AND DISCOUNTS:
For every pound of recycling collected, 2.5 RecycleBank Points are credited. A resident can earn a maximum of 450 points per month and 5,400 points per year.

An average recycler with RecycleBank has the ability to earn and redeem hundreds of dollars worth of rewards and discounts at local and national businesses each year.
